The Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve is comprised of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Elkhorn Slough Foundation and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, working together to advance conservation in the estuary, through research, land acquisition, and restoration efforts, benefitting species such as the endangered sea otter.
